DEVI, Florida. A Florida man accused of shooting a small dog was arrested on charges of cruelty to animals, police said.
The Davie Police Department reports that on September 29, 2018, at about 6:33 pm, Johansen Concepcion de la Ros shot a small dog with a large-caliber rifle with a scope. Police say De La Ros was on the balcony of his apartment when he shot the dog.
“He knelt down, raised the crosshair and fired, killing the dog,” Davy told police.
Police say the dog’s owners did not know what happened and the dog started bleeding from his mouth.
The dog named Princess was an 8 month old puppy owned by an 8 year old girl. Police say the family had just moved to the area the day before from another state.
De La Ros was in the apartment and the rifle was confiscated. Then he was arrested for cruelty to animals.
