Orlando, Florida. Orlando police said a man was arrested Saturday morning, who, according to Orlando police, shot one woman and abducted her on another Saturday morning.
Police said 25-year-old Ruddell Pierre shot and killed 40-year-old Tamalari Arnold at about 8 a.m. in the 4000 block on Harwich Street.
Police said Arnold was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where she was pronounced dead. Pierre then kidnapped a 24-year-old woman, dragging her into a car, at gunpoint, and then, according to police, raped her.
According to the arrest report, Arnold was a colleague of the woman and saw Pierre confront the victim where they worked earlier Saturday. She decided to follow the victim home from work to make sure she got there safely.
Pierre followed both of them, and when the victim arrived home, he collided with them and shot Arnold, according to the arrest report.
Witnesses said they heard the victim screaming, “Please don’t kill me!” before Pierre ordered her to get into his car at gunpoint, according to the arrest report.
Investigators believe Pierre drove a 2018 burgundy Kia Optima bearing the JPYN09 tag.
According to the arrest report, Pierre was charged with first degree murder, armed kidnapping, sexual assault and car theft.
He is being held without bail at the Orange County Jail.
