FORT LOWDERDALE, Florida (AP) – A Florida man called 911 after entering the bathroom to find a bright green iguana swimming in his closet.
Fort Lauderdale Battalion Chief Stefan Gollan says the man was “scared and didn’t know what to do.”
He says that firefighter Jeff Curus put on a sterile glove, climbed inside and grabbed the iguana. He took it out into the street and released it into the wild.
Gollan says that when it comes to unique calls, this department is “one-size-fits-all.”
