PINELLAS PARK, Florida. A Pinellas Park man, enraged that someone touched his cigar, attacked his pregnant sister and bit the police officer who was arresting him, police said.
According to the affidavit, 23-year-old Brian Keith Harrington got angry because he thought his sister’s boyfriend had run over or smoked one of his cigars. Police said he attacked the boy, then started shoving his sister and other relatives when they tried to calm him down, then went to the refrigerator and threw a bottle of ketchup, half a gallon of juice and other containers of food at his sister. According to police, the pregnancy is in the sixth week of pregnancy.
Harrington was held by other relatives as he tried to knock over the refrigerator on top of them, police said.
When the police arrived, Harrington bit the officer’s left thumb and told the officer he would kill him when he got out of jail, the affidavit said.
The sister’s boyfriend declined to press charges.
Harrington was charged with three counts of domestic assault, beating a law enforcement officer, threatening bodily harm to a law enforcement officer, and resisting a law enforcement officer upon arrest.
He remains in prison on $ 10,150 bail.
According to prison records, Harrington had been arrested six times earlier on charges ranging from burglary, grand theft, and marijuana possession. According to the records, he was sent to prison twice.
