Brevard COUNTY, Fla. – Florida people who were caught uploading thousands of images that contain either child pornography or child erotica said he viewed the graphic content as a “boredom killer” even though he knew it was wrong, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
MPs said they launched an investigation in April 2019 after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led them to an address on Merritt Island.
Additional advice regarding the same user came again in April, then in June of that year, which led to an order being developed and executed for Microsoft OneDrive, which was found to contain 7,548 images, 119 of which were child pornography while the rest children’s erotica, show plates.
A search warrant for an apartment building on Merritt Island linked to this account was issued on November 20, 2019.
Shane Williams said he lived in a house with a relative, but first-time access denied any child pornography or having a OneDrive account, according to warrant.gratification, the records show. He knew the children in the photographs were victims and said he hated himself for looking at the violence as per the warrant.
MPs said additional searches were conducted on Williams’ electronic devices and more than 524 child pornography images, some showing victims as young as 1 year old, were found.
Williams was arrested Tuesday in possession of charges of child pornography.
